An alleged drug dealer has been accused of selling anabolic steroids and operating a “steroid lab” out of his apartment after authorities raided his Centereach home two weeks ago.
Lucas Strada has been indicted on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal possession of a weapon.
“We have mounting evidence the defendant sold anabolic steroids locally and through online transactions,” District Attorney Tom Spota said.
Prosecutors said a search warrants executed at the 33-year-old man’s apartment on Horseblock Road led to the discovery of mass quantities of anabolic steroids, a loaded Rock Island Arms .45 caliber handgun and more than $60,000 cash.
Strada being held on $250,000 cash bail. He will be arraigned Wednesday before Judge Stephen Braslow at Suffolk County court in Riverhead.
