On Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m., Roslyn native Elyssa Ackerman returns to Bryant Library for a concert of popular show tunes.
Ackerman is a Roslyn High School alumna and graduate of Binghamton University. She is a New York City-based actor, singer and writer who has been trained at Circle in the Square Theatre School, the only accredited acting conservatory in a Broadway theater.
Ackerman has performed in numerous plays and musicals. Most recently she played Mrs. Gepetto/Stromboli in a three-month U.S. tour of Pinocchio with a children’s theater company. Ackerman is beginning to get her feet wet behind the camera as well, and in the winter of 2014 completed both her first film and her first commercial. Ackerman will be joined on stage with a cappella group for several numbers.
Ackerman has a long-standing relationship with the Bryant Library and is grateful for the opportunity to perform there again.
