High School Welcomes Class Of 2018

Hicksville High School welcomed the incoming Class of 2018 for an orientation prior to the start of the 2014-15 school year.

During the orientation, Principal Raymond Williams addressed his new students and outlined his expectations of them. He reviewed acceptable behavior policies and said he’s confident everyone will succeed if they tap into their potential and abide by the rules. Staying engaged is key, he said.

The freshmen were also given a tour of the school by upper classmen to allow them to become comfortable with their new surroundings. After having their photos taken for their new identification cards, students had the opportunity to sign up for a variety of clubs and after-school activities. Club representatives also provided information and discussed the benefits of participating in extracurricular activities.
