The fishermen are out at Town Dock Wednesday morning, but they aren’t landing many, a situation they say has been common throughout the summer.
Richard Guleski (far r.) who, like many of his cronies is going for snappers, using a long thin pole and small bobbin to have a more sporting experience, has a theory as to why the fish are relatively scarce.
“It was a fierce winter and that kept the waters cold,” so fish went further south this year, Guleski said.
So, instead of a bucketful of fish, Guleski could show off just one. Still, at about nine inches, that was one decent sized snapper.
