Susan Krebser, 46, of Levittown, was arrested by Suffolk police, on Nov. 23, on the accusation she had been driving while intoxicated, after a head-on collision that killed a woman along Rt. 109 in East Farmingdale.
According to police, Jeanne Grazia, 70 of Islip, was headed southeast in a 2012 Kia Forte, when her vehicle was struck by a 1991 Buick Regal that was heading in the wrong direction,
traveling northwest in the southeast lanes.
Grazia was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where she was pronounced dead.
Police said that Krebser, the driver of the Buick, was also transported to NUMC, where she was reported in serious condition.
Krebser has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated and was given a field appearance ticket, to be arraigned at a later date, after press time.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.
