On Sept. 17, students from The Viscardi Center’s Youth Transition Services program gave back to their local community by planting at New York State Industries for the Disabled’s NYSID Works! event at the Town of North Hempstead’s “Yes We Can” community center in Westbury. The celebration recognized the state for creating jobs for New Yorkers with disabilities and was attended by the Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, and other local dignitaries.
