Rotary Honors Scholars

The entire room broke out in applause as each student ended their short talk.

Rotary of Oyster Bay invited 40 members of the Oyster Bay High School Honor Society to lunch at Jack Halyards/Spinnaker’s on June 8. The annual event or recognizing our brightest and best is always a joy to the rotarians.

Each of the students introduced themselves giving a hint of their accomplishments.

President Walter Imperatore said, “Even if you took away the academic aspect, their accomplishments in the community, sports and clubs is impressive. Many participate in the Rotary Interact program and are key to several of our programs including the Oyster Festival.”

Rotarian Jim Fuccio. Esq. had a unique reason to enjoy the day, reminiscence. When a student at OBHS, Jim attended Honor Society Luncheon when his dad, an attorney, was a member.
