Old Brookville Crash Leaves 1 Dead

A 20-year-old man who was struck by a car in Old Brookville died over the weekend.

Nassau County police said a man was driving an Audi Q5 eastbound on Northern Boulevard when he struck the victim, who was lying in the roadway near the corner of Whitney Lane at 12:32 a.m. on Saturday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.

Homicide Squad detectives tested the vehicle. They are continuing the investigation but did not charge the driver.
