Sewanhaka High School junior Shafaq Khan was named a finalist in the Friends of Sagamore Hill Theodore Roosevelt Public Speaking contest in May. Khan competed against some of the best speakers and scholars in Nassau County high schools. English teacher Kathleen Crimmins helped Khan prepare for the competition.
