With smiles as bright as the sun, sixth graders throughout the district crossed the stage to officially move up to Berner Middle School. Principals and district administrators graced the podium with words of praise and offered advice on what to e
xpect in the middle school, while student speakers shared stories of their fondest memories and the lessons they learned from their teachers.
Elementary schools celebrated the milestone with slideshows of the students’ elementary years, special traditions and musical performances. In addition to their mo
ving-up certificates, certain students received a host of awards, including the President’s Award for Educational Excellence and the President’s Award for Educational Achievement.
