Cops Probe Possible Homicide at Hicksville Hotel

Nassau County police are investigating the discovery a dead man’s body in a Hicksville hotel room over the weekend as a possible homicide.

Police said officers responding to a report of a sick or injured person at the Econo Lodge on Duffy Avenue found the victim at 1:20 p.m. Saturday.

He was identified as Erik O’Connell, 37, of East Meadow. His cause of death was not immediately available.

Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation.
