With the coldest temperatures and lowest wind chills of the winter season thus far, Nassau County, in partnership with the Town of Oyster Bay and City of Glen Cove, announced that the following warming center locations are open to residents this week:

The Nassau County Winter Homeless Hotline—1-866-927-6233 (866-WARMBED)—is open and runs seven days a week through March 31. Nightly from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday from 6 p.m. through Monday at 8 a.m., employees from the Department of Social Services (DSS) will make appropriate referrals and provide shelter placement. Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., on weekdays, call the Department of Social Services at 516-227-8519.
