Community Blood Drive
During this critical blood shortage, donate to the Great Neck Library and LI Blood Services Community Blood Drive between 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. in Main’s community room. Bring a donor card or ID with a photo and signature. Donors can be between 16 and 75 years old, though 16 year olds need parental consent and those 76 and older need a doctor’s note. Prospective Candidates Search
For the 2019 Great Neck Library election to be held on Oct. 28, prospective candidates are being sought for two seats expiring in January 2020—one on the Board of Trustees to fill Scott Sontag’s seat and one on the Nominating Committee to fill Patrick McDonnell’s seat. A nominee must be a member of the Great Neck Library Association by Oct. 7, 2019, at least 18 years old, a resident of the Great Neck School District and either be a valid library card holder or registered voter with the Nassau County Board of Elections.
