SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTION REQUEST: This sweet-as-sugar face belongs to Scarlet, a 5-year-old precious girl who was found running loose near a local Chipotle. Scarlet is winning everyone over with her ridiculously cute personality and of course that face! Scarlet is super friendly with everyone she meets, is a total blast to be with, and just wants to be loved.
Scarlet may even be OK to live with cats and is interested in meeting other dogs but does seem a bit under-socialized so she will need slow intros to feel most happy. Sadly, two lumps were found on Scarlet’s belly, and although were removed successfully, the biopsy came back cancerous. The hope is of course that the cancer/lumps do not return. Staff and volunteers simply adore Scarlet and want to see her find a loving home immediately, to start enjoying life with a forever family.
If you are interested in learning more about adopting Scarlet, please call the shelter at 516-785-5220, visit 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh or email adoption@tohmail.org today!

Rebel is an extraordinarily sweet kitty. She loves getting attention, always wanting someone to pet her and brush her. Rebel will roll around on the floor for you to rub her tummy and she will climb into your lap. She can usually be found snuggled on a shelf, but it’s not because she’s shy. She likes to let the other cats take charge and she gets along with them.
SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTION REQUEST: Avah is an adorable 10-month-old special needs kitten available for adoption at the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter. She has a special condition called Cerebral Hyperplasia which causes her to stumble around when she walks. It doesn’t cause her any pain, it just takes her a little longer to get from point A to point B.
Avah is looking for a special home that understands her condition and will love her for the affectionate kitten she is. She’s an otherwise healthy kitten but will always walk funny and occasionally have accidents due to her balance issues. Avah enjoys playing with toys just like any other kitten and loves having other cats to play with.
