Amber and Zach
Amber and Zach

Meet Amber and Zack, two of the sweetest, most loving dogs. Tragically they just lost their dad, who adored them, under sudden circumstances and now they find themselves in need of a new forever family. Amber is a tan and white, female, pit mix. She is roughly 3 years old and is described as extremely quiet, very well behaved and sweet with new people. She is super playful; ropes and hard chewy toys are her favorites. She also enjoys a nice bath.

Zack is a blue and white, male, pit mix. He is roughly 5 years old and is just as sweet as his sister! Zack is extremely well behaved and plays well with other dogs. Zack is beginning to enjoy chew toys and learning how to play fetch. Both dogs could use some leash training but other than that, they are both very affectionate, especially at bedtime. So if you want a couple of cuddle buddies, this pair is for you!

If you have room in your heart and home for this truly sweet, loving pair, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or call 631-306-4616.

Available for adoption through Tender Loving Cats

Toby
Toby

Toby is a handsome swirl tabby that has a coat that feels like velvet. Toby is the only fella of a litter of four. This handsome guy loves to play and jump around with his sisters and other cats as well! Toby is independent and playful but also looks forward to being petted and groomed once he is comfortable with you. He will head butt his way into your heart! Toby would do best in a home with another male kitty who is young and energetic and will rough play with him.

Janis Joplin
Janis Joplin

Janis Joplin is just about a year old and earned her name when she found her way to the shelter on her namesake’s 79th birthday. With her larger-than-life personality, she deserved a name that was also larger-than-life. At first, Janis was scared and shy, but she has since come out of her shell and grown into a very friendly little lady! She is an active and curious cat with energy for days. The perfect family for Janis will give her all the play time and attention she needs. Janis would do well in a home without young children.

If you are interested in adopting Janis, please call 631-360-7575.

Catherine the Great
Catherine the Great

**Senior Alert** Nine-year-old Catherine the Great (Adoption #H210441) lost the kingdom she’d ruled her whole life upon the passing of her beloved human. She needed full support to nurture her broken heart beginning with a safe, sunny room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center with her clowder, who each emerged confident as they realized how well loved they’d be in NSALA’s care. It took some time, patience, and treats but Catherine’s heart opened up. While she’s content to pass her whole day napping in a cubby, she’s begun to select those she trusts to share tender moments. NSALA is looking to return Catherine to a peaceful home where she can rule hearts from a cozy bed. If you’ve had experience with fearful cats (and no young children in the home) your patience and consistency will make you her most loyal subject.

Ward
Ward

When 2-year-old Ward (Adoption #H209908) arrived, he was grieving deeply for the loss of his home and family. NSALA tucked him into the quietest place available, with the most loving hands, experienced in helping fearful cats acclimate to new settings. Ward is beginning to trust those who care for him and enjoy life in the comfort of a predictable space, with feline friends modeling what’s in store with a bit of curiosity and courage. Ward is searching for adults with experience in nurturing the spirit of timid cats and because he’s responded so well to his feline roommates, and a confident cat in the home will show him all the joy of family life. Would you like to be Ward’s hero?

July
July

While everyone was celebrating barbecues and beach days last summer, 3-year-old momma July (Adoption #NCI2115) was safely sequestered in the quietest place NSALA could offer her. Motherhood was wearisome work for July. A quiet, predictable home (with children age 12 and above) with cat-experienced adults will help this timid girl embrace a new indoor lifestyle. Gentle ear rubs will help erase her doubts and signal a bright future awaits for her. She’s already opening up to playtime with trusted friends. She deserves to be a treasured pet – are you ready to offer July the chance to be the center of attention in your home and heart?

Sheba and Kong
Sheba and Kong

**Double Adoption** When 3-year-olds Sheba (Adoption #H209574) and Kong (Adoption #H209575) lost their home recently, NSALA offered them a comfortable place to wait for their new family to find them. These formerly fearful siblings have done an amazing job shaking off the past trauma, and contentedly sniff new discoveries around their sunny room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. They’re always game for some feather time and are first in line for ear rubs and treats. A quiet home (with children ages 8 and above) is all this dynamic duo need to settle back into family life. Sheba and Kong are FIV+ which may give unknowing humans pause but shouldn’t be a deterrent to adopting them; they’re living their best lives safe indoors. Don’t miss out on two grateful friends waiting to show you how much their second chance means to them.

Mittens
Mittens

When Marvelous Mittens (Adoption #H211189) first joined the Animal League America family, he was dubious about the changes in his life. Fast forward a few weeks and Mittens has everyone smitten! He’s now enjoying playtime with his roommates and seeks out ear rubs from visiting humans. Got treats? That’s all Mittens needs to become your new best friend! With his supporters nurturing him, he’s opening up to the idea that better days are indeed ahead. Mittens is FIV+, likely a result of a turbulent life outside before coming to us. NSALA has assured him he’ll always be loved and nurtured in a safe space, and they’re delighted to help him resume a peaceful life in a quiet home where he can shine brightly with all the gratitude he has stored up inside for you!

Seahorse and Anemone
Seahorse and Anemone

***Double Adoption*** Seahorse (Adoption #H211484) and his brother Anemone (Adoption #H211486) may be the sweetest creatures found above sea level! You don’t need to search the ocean for these very bonded brothers; they’re right here in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center waiting for you to discover them. After putting behind a rocky start outdoors, these 5-month-old kittens have settled into fun times in their room, entertaining everyone who visits them. Wouldn’t you love to watch them explore your home tonight? Ask about making Seahorse and Anemone part of your world!

Momma
Momma

NSALA has given 3-year-old Momma (Adoption #PR00050) a hero’s welcome because that’s exactly what she is! Not only did she take care of her own three kittens while surviving on the beaches of Puerto Rico, but she also cared for an orphaned kitten who needed her help to survive. She and her family were lucky to benefit from a foster home while they awaited the opportunity to come stateside to find new futures. Now that her kittens have all found homes, it’s Momma’s turn to find the tranquility she craves—and deserves! Wouldn’t you love to make Momma’s day by bringing her home?

Shadoo
Shadoo

Have you had experience with cats who needed a little extra nurturing? If so, you’re the hero Shadoo (Adoption #SCR3428) is looking for. Shadoo can be won over with treats, an ear rub, and easy conversation. To ensure this 18-month-old settles into what may be his first ever home, Shadoo is looking for a household (with older children) who can offer him patience and space as he gets the hang of being a family member. One blink from Shadoo and you’ll know you’ve given him all he needs to feel loved!
