3 New Restaurants to Try on Long Island

WAFFLES AND SOUL

If you’ve been craving waffles and chicken, then be sure to check out Waffles and Soul in Bellport. This new restaurant serves up traditional chicken and waffles, along with many unique spin-offs of the classic.

The soul tower is one of their signature dishes: It’s a waffle made from their four-cheese mac, and topped with a chicken breast, candied yams, and house syrup ($16). You can never go wrong with their famous classic, a classic waffle topped with your choice of three pieces of chicken and two sides ($14). If you cannot decide what to order, you have the option of building your own creation as well.

Not craving chicken and waffles? Don’t worry, there are many other menu items for you. Give their fish sandwich ($14), shrimp salad ($12), or pan-seared salmon ($16) a try.

Their specialty rolls feature the bumble bee roll ($16), with spicy crabmeat, cucumber, avocado, and fresh mango, and the east roll ($17), shrimp tempura mango-topped eel, avocado, eel sauce, and caviar, along with many others. Not in the mood for fish? Check out their vegetable roll, the golden Buddha roll ($16), with sweet potato tempura, avocado, cucumber, and peanuts wrapped up in green soy paper.

If you’re not a sushi fan, there are plenty of other choices for you. Check out their bento boxes, hibachi, and teriyaki options, and much more. At Aja Sushi there are options for everyone.
