The Great Neck Library is hosting an afternoon of retro gaming, board games, virtual reality, giant games, giveaways, tournaments, prizes and more on Sunday, Nov. 9. They will offer games for all ages at the event, as well as a library-wide scavenger hunt.
The community room will feature retro gaming, virtual reality, board games and giant games. The large multipurpose room will offer multiplayer video games Switch and Switch 2, while the small multipurpose room will have “quiet gaming,” according to the library. The children’s room will have games for young children.
The library’s Games Day was derived from the American Library Association International Games Month. It is an initiative to reconnect communities through their libraries around the educational, recreational and social value of all types of games.
The Great Neck Library is located at 159 Bayview Ave. The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is not required.
