John Perrone is a longtime resident of Glen Cove, raising his family. For over 30 years, he has been actively involved in the youth programs and various local organizations.
With 40 years of experience across insurance, business, retail and marketing, this gives Perrone a unique and powerful vantage point for identifying and minimizing exposure. This background gives him the ability to make sound, informative decisions for the City of Glen Cove.
Perrone served on the city’s Zoning Board and Planning Board for 30 years and is a past city council member, giving him insight of our codes and will assist in revamping these codes to be consistent and logical. His background in Planning allows him the ability to plan for the future of Glen Cove, assuring equality, common sense and logic.
Areas of concern:
▪ The financial stability of our city. Perrone would explore actual new sources of recurring revenue, not on the backs of the taxpayer.
▪ Expand our building and code enforcement departments for a more efficient workflow and modernize the application process.
▪ Explore new and innovative housing concepts to make Glen Cove more affordable for all residents.
As a council member, Perrone will provide a non-partisan approach to city decisions and work for the well-being of all Glen Cove residents. He will advocate for the police, fire, EMS, harbor and all city workers.
John’s reason for running for city council is simple – learn from the past, plan for the future and put Glen Cove first.
