Working with children has been a delight and I learned something new every day.”

Dr. Gloria Bennardo began her career as a Special Education teacher in the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District. For seven years, she worked in classrooms with children with special needs. In September of 1985, Dr. Bennardo became the assistant principal at both Old Bethpage and Parkway elementary schools. In 1988, Dr. Bennardo was named principal of the Old Bethpage Elementary School, a position she held for 21 years.
