The East Norwich-Muttontown-Brookvilles Republican Committee enjoyed their 1st Annual Golf Outing on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Calverton Links & Eagle Landing Golf Course. The weather, although threatened, turned out to be perfect and the shotgun tee-off went as planned. The fun-filled day began with a barbecue lunch, proceeded with an iced bar of “Oyster Bay Oysters” and clams at mid-way, followed by cocktails and a surf and turf dinner back at the clubhouse.
Raffles included a 40” Toshiba LCD-TV. Prizes were Pro shop certificates awarded in three categories: Best Score (Stephen Wulforst, Dan Torres and Craig Bessman), Longest Drive (Dr. Frank Valdinato) and Closest to Pin (Peter Traversa.) The outing was organized by the club’s new president, Jarvis “Tim” Brown and Executive Leader, Frank Scalera and their hardworking golf committee who thoroughly enjoyed the day along with the many seasoned golfers and guests. Everyone is looking forward to next year’s outing.
