Actress Evan Rachel Wood is donning a new look. She’s replaced her long locks with cropped, very short hair. It’s not quite as short as Emma Watson’s hair but it’s pretty close. Wood showed off her new hairdo on Tuesday night at the Hollywood movie premiere of True Blood.
While many assumed the new cut was for an upcoming movie role, Wood says no way. She cut her hair for her only, nothing else, she says.
“It just felt right,” Wood told Access Hollywood. “I had my hair super long and I was just ready for a change and I’ve always wanted to do it and never really had the guts and I just thought, ‘I wanna do it at least once, just chop it off.'”
The 23-year-old actress sported gray pants and a men’s vest with suspenders by Dolce & Gabbana at ArcLight’s Cinerama Dome.
She recently told Esquire Magazine, “I grew up in love with David Bowie. So I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls… I’m into androgyny in general” and came out as bisexual.
Wood will be starring in George Clooney‘s upcoming flick The Ides of March.
She began acting on television in the late ’90s, appearing in shows like Once and Again and American Gothic. She later left the small screen for the big, taking roles in movies like Little Secrets and Thirteen.
Wood has also appeared in numerous independent films including Running with Scissors and Across the Universe.
