Eva Gabrielsson, life partner of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo writer Steig Larsson, has released a tell all book about her life with the writer. There Are Things I Want You To Know: About Stieg Larsson and Me, which shares similar cover art to Larsson’s three books, reportedly tells the story of the life the two shared together before Larson’s death at the age of 50 in 2004.
According to an interview with Gabrielsson on radio station WNYC, the book recounts Larsson’s life saying that readers will be able to know his decision on why he wrote the series. The book also discusses sensitive topics such as love, loss and death. The 57-year-old revealed that the names of sources who contributed to the series will be released.
The New York Post reports that the couple wrote together in the past. She also announced plans to complete the fourth installment if she gets rights to his work. Although she kept the plot under-wraps, Gabrielsson did say that Lisbeth Salander will be freed from the ghosts of her past in the new book.
Swedish films based off of the stories have already been released. Actors, Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are currently working on making American versions of the films. The trailer for the first film was recently released online and is set to debut in theaters on December 21.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series is based off of the life of a social outcast, computer hacker, named Lisbeth Salander who meets a reporter named Mikael Blomkvist who throughout the series, try to defend themselves against evil events in Sweden. According to Macleans, the book trilogy has sold over 40 million copies worldwide.
