Jessie J jumped on the screen with her “Do It Like A Dude” hit single that took the world by storm and now she’s back and seeking revenge.
Jessie J officially got her revenge this week with the release of her latest music video. The music video relays the message “Who’s laughing now” through not only the lyrics but the skit that shows a younger Jessica getting teased and bullied only to become a star and have them calling her and trying to befriend her.
Mummy they call me names / They wouldn’t let me play / I’d run home, sit and cry almost everyday,” sings Jessie J in her new video. “‘Hey Jessica, you look like an alien / With green skin you don’t fit in this playpen’ / Well they pull my hair / They took away my chair / I keep it in and pretend that I didn’t care / ‘Hey Jessica, you’re so funny / You’ve got teeth just like Bugs bunny.'”
The song comes from the U.K. singer’s debut “Who You Are.” Songs from the album will be shared with the United States fans when Jessie J opens for Katy Perry this fall.
