Autumn has arrived—who hasn’t noticed the Harvest Moon?—It’s one of the most beautiful times of the year and a great time to celebrate the cool outdoors without wearing snow boots. With the arrival of the fall season, comes crisp air, falling leaves and fun events to look forward to—It’s actually the most popular time to throw a wedding or event.

One of the most beautiful places to host a fall event on Long Island is the North Fork. The beautiful “Wine Country” of the East Coast.  Here are some great venue options.

Castello di Borghese Vineyard & Winery located in Cutchogue is a great choice. The Vineyard and Winery is the perfect place to host an outdoor wine country affair as it offers multiple locations for breathtaking vineyard wine country events including outdoors under the vines. For a funky party, opt for a reception in the art gallery or for an outdoor affair, party planners can opt for an elegant tent with vines as decoration. Be sure to include the vineyard’s New Rosé of Pinot Noir, in your party, the unique Rosé, has been aged in oak for 18 months.

For Long Islanders looking for a country or garden party, Salt Air Farm located in Cutchogue is the place to go. It’s a family run farm specializing in fruit, flowers and just that, parties. It’s located just off between Cutchogue and New Suffolk and stretches along Peconic Bay. Hosting an event there is truly unique. Its expansive grounds feature an Olympic-size lawn croquet court and the farm’s bed and breakfast makes a beautiful backdrop to any affair. And it gets better, to make your event extra-unique, the farm also offers options like a barn dance, hayride and good old barbeque. As far as activities, they’re definitely different too. Salt Air Farm provides farm berry picking for guests and clay target shooting for bachelor parties. For bachelorette parties, the place also hosts tea parties.

Giorgio’s At Fox Hill located in Baiting Hollow is another great venue option for Fall. The place is a true gem in the North Fork, exuding elegance throughout the entire property, and makes for one classy affair. The luxury location was founded by George Regini, Sr. who previously worked at the famous Waldorf Astoria and Pierre Hotel and has made sure to keep business in the family— George Regini Jr runs every banquet at Giorgio’s.  Hosting an event at Giorgio’s is a real white glove affair. The newly renovated venue features French imported porcelain tile, a large fireplace surrounded by onyx-imported marble. Additionally, the venue is sprinkled with classy crystal chandeliers, laced with Mahogany wood and boasts a beautiful grand piano as the venue’s centerpiece. The banquet rooms provide quite the sight for guest, the rooms feature expansive views of the golf course and gardens. And the service is also amazing—Giorgio’s takes care of every last touch including supplying napkins, theme party decorations and provides a nine-station cocktail hour!

Off the Fork, The Pridwin Hotel located on Shelter Island is an amazing location to throw a party. The famous Crescent beach on Shelter Island is not only a place to visit for a beach day, in the fall, it makes a beautiful place to host an affair. Pridwin Hotel is one of only a small handful of stays that the island offers and is certainly one of the most established—it’s been around since the late 1920s. The resort boasts classic New England charm and features a banquet room that can host up to 250 guests and opens to a waterfront deck. Guests can also opt for a tented affair on the main lawn, also overlooking the water. As far as activities, the Pridwin features tennis courts, a pool and beachfront activities including canoeing and sailing. Guests frequently take out bicycles to explore the over 8,000-acre island nestled between the two forks.
