The Former Beatle, Paul McCartney has wed again. This time to American, Nancy Shevell.
The two married Sunday, at the London Town Hall, the same place he married first wife, Linda Eastman in 1969 (Eastman was also American, who remained married to McCartney until she died of breast cancer in 1998).
This will be the third marriage for the famous Beatle and the second for Shevell.
The ceremony was quiet and conservative with Shevell, 51, wearing an above-the-knee gown by Stella McCartney with a white flower in her hair while McCartney, 68, donned a blue tie.
According to reports, McCartney’s younger brother, Mike served as best man while his young daughter Beatrice served as flower girl.
According to the Associated Press, the couple drove off in a burgundy Lexus for a gala reception at McCartney’s home in the St. John’s Wood neighborhood. Reportedly, celebrity guests included Beatle, Ringo Starr, and Barbara Walters.
The couple met in the Hamptons in 2008 after McCartney divorced second wife, Heather Mills. The two were engaged earlier this year.
Though not much is known of Shevell, she’s reportedly a board member of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority and is vice president of a family-owned transportation company.
McCartney has five children but it’s unknown if all attended the ceremony. Eastman and McCartney had four children together; Heather, who was Linda’s daughter and was later adopted by Paul; Mary, Stella and James.
Following his marriage to Linda, McCartney married model, Heather Mills in 2002. They had a daughter named Beatrice in 2003 but by 2004 they had separated. Mills and McCartney ultimately divorced in 2008.
