The members of the New Hyde Park Runners Club are in the thick of fall racing season now, and the following are the results:
Peggy Delaney completed the Clarence DeMar Marathon (Keene NH) a few Sundays ago, Peggy finished in 5:04:02.
Runners participated in the Entenmann’s Great South Bay Races. Joe Salow ran in his favorite half-marathon, the Entenmann’s. He completed the course in 2:19:36. Scott Fairgrieve ran 47:18, for 2nd place AG in the Entenmann’s 10K.
The NHP Runners entered the Smuttynose Rockfest Marathon and Half. The weather was just terrible, it was cold rainy and windy, but the NHP crew prevailed. John Furlong finished 2nd AG in 3:35, Noyes Harrigan finished in 4:51, Tom Brewer finished in 4:57, Dave Frisone finished in 5:20. In the half marathon, Eve Volonakis finished 3rd. age group in 1:52, Marie Brewer set a PR in 1:57, Maureen Frisone finished in 2:06, Renee Harrigan finished in 2:22. Ken Ramondino completed the course in 2:26, Deirdre Ramondino finished in 2:55.
All of our diva’s looked great in pink! Congratulations to all. Marilou Giammona finished in 1:49:52, Abbe Sargent finished in 1:55:28 Naomi Kaphan finished in 2:05:37, Diane Schubert finished in 2:06:08.
Christine Oh and Karina Jimenez were at the beautiful St. George (Utah) Marathon. Christine finished in 4:08:05 and Karina finished 4:29:02.
Tania Danielson and Paul Aloe wrapped-up their Tri season at the Bassman Tri (NJ) Paul finished 8th. age group in 2:27:40 and Tania finished in 3:07:20.
