Beyonce’s new video “Dance for You” is heating up the Internet and we’re pretty sure we know why.

Beyonce takes us back to the days of black and white television and into the office of a lonely detective on a rainy day. We’ve all seen that show before, but not like this.

The singer walks into the detective’s dark office and immediately strips off her jacket and shows off her moves as he just stands there, arms crossed and looks on in delight.

And the singer does exactly what she says she’s going to in the song:

“I just wanna show you how much I appreciate you, yes/ Wanna show you how much I’m dedicated to you, yes/ Wanna show you how much I will forever be true, yes/ Wanna show you how much you got your girl feeling good, yes
Wanna show you how much, how much you understood, yes/ Wanna show you how much I value what you say,/ Not only are you loyal, you’re patient with me babe, yes.”

In the video, Beyonce dances for about five minutes, and we never leave the office of the lonely detective. The only time more characters are seen is about half way through the video when Beyonce gets some help from a handful of other dancers who were apparently there the whole time, but we couldn’t see them because it was too dark.

“Tonight I’m gonna dance for you, oh,” Beyonce sings in the chorus. “Tonight I’m gonna dance for you, oh/ Tonight I’m gonna put my body on your body/ Boy I like it when you watch me, ah/ Tonight it’s going down/ I’ll be rocking on my babe, rocking, rocking on my babe,/ Swirling on my babe, swirling, swirling on my babe/ Baby let me put my body on your body/ Promise not to tell nobody
‘Cause it’s about to go down!”

The video ends with a fade to black as Beyonce approaches the man at his desk.
