Tis the season for family portraits, for the Obama family too.

The White House photo office released a new official portrait of the First Family earlier today.

The photo went viral on their Flickr photostream.

The photo was reportedly taken by Pete Souza in the Oval Office on Sunday December 11, 2011 after the family returned to the White House after church services.

“New Obama family portrait (potus, flotus, and the girls) will be released tomorrow at noon on our Flickr photostream,” tweeted Souza Wednesday.

The photo includes Michelle, Barack, and their daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10.

While Michelle is quite the fashionista, the designer of her black dress is unknown at this time. However, Huffington Post is reporting that Malia’s is sporting a frock from Anthropologie.

The updated portrait follows the previous official Obama family portrait that was taken back in 2009 in the Green Room. The photo was captured by Annie Leibovitz.
