Deborah Messing: Separates From Husband

Debra Messing has officially separated from her husband Daniel Zelman.

The 43-year-old actress had been married to the 44-year-old writer-producer for over 10 years. They have a 7-year-old son, Roman.

According to USA Today, Messing’s rep confirmed the split, saying that the two “privately separated earlier this year … The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family.”

The couple met while attending New York University in the 1990s and married in 2000. According to the Washington Post, the two recently moved back to New York recently and are still living together with their son—Messing was born in Brooklyn.

Messing is best know for her role on “Will and Grace” where she played Grace Adler. She’s since, become an award winning actress starring in a number of hits including “Along Came Polly” and “The Wedding Date.”

Messing has been nominated for six Emmy Awards, eight Golden Globe Awards and eight Screen Actors Guild Awards. And not only was she recognized for her career but also her looks. In 2002, Messing was named one of the “50 Most Beautiful People in the World,” by People Magazine and in 2003, TV Guide named her”Best Dressed Woman.”

Messing will be seen in the upcoming series “Smash,” which is set to hit screens in February.

Zelman is best known for producing “Damages” and “Fool’s Gold.”
