reg 634.Carey .Cannon.tg .010412“Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman,” Mariah Carey tweeted of her husband, Nick Cannon’s hospitalization this past week.

She also posted a photo of Cannon in a hospital bed and explained the incident in a later blog post on MariahCarey.com, “This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.”

“We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C,” she wrote.

Carey gave no word on how long he will remain in the hospital but noted that they’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen.”

“We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM,” Carey explained.

Carey gave birth to twins in May in Los Angeles, on Carey and Cannon’s third wedding anniversary. Back in May, Monroe was born weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces and was 18 inches long. Moroccan was 5 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.

As we previously reported, their son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon, because the top tier of Carey’s New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room and this was where Cannon proposed to her.  Their daughter’s name is Monroe Cannon and was named after Marilyn Monroe, who the singer has said was an inspiration to her throughout her life.
