KID-FIT Offers Free Fitness Classes for National Preschool Fitness Day

topBanner1 e1327329863738To raise awareness for building healthy lifestyle habits in preschool children, KID-FIT physical education classes for preschoolers will be offering free fitness classes for children ages 2-5 on Friday, January 27th.

KID-FIT is a physical education curriculum that teaches small children how to exercise, eat right and take care of their bodies. It is one of the only structured physical education programs in the United States geared for preschool children and has been piloted across the nation showing improved fitness levels in young children.

Licensed KID-FIT instructor Jennifer Tucker, along with others across the nation, will be providing preschoolers and their parents free classes to show how fun exercise can be and how eager small children are to move. The medical profession is in agreement that preschool fitness plays a vital role in the prevention of obesity, diabetes and risk factors for heart disease. All of which are now being seen in children as young as age 2.

The free 45-minute classes will be held at the Cupcake Corner Too, 62 New Hyde Park Road, Garden City on Friday January 27, 2012 from 10-10:45 a.m. & 11-11:45 a.m. Class size is limited to the first 20 children for each class.

To reserve a space for your child to participate, contact Jennifer, owner of KID-FIT Long Island at (516) 361-2568. For more information on KID-FIT, visit http://www.kidfitlongisland.com.
