Roseann Barr is ready for her next big gig: POTUS.
The comedian announced on Thursday that she has filed papers to run for the Green Party nomination for President of the United States.
“I am running for Green Party nominee for POTUS,” she tweeted on Thursday. “I am an official candidate. I am4 the Greening of America&the world. Green=peace/justice.”
Why the Green Party?
“the green party offers the only hope that exists on this planet,” she said on Twitter. “To rid ourselves of war and injustice, done in the name of money. UTOPIA!”
No, we’re not kidding around here.
Through Twitter, Barr announced her platform, saying she is pro small business and supports the middle and working class.
And the campaign stumping was on:
She tweeted: “as POTUS I will forgive all student loans and ALL HOMEOWNER DEBT AND ALL CREDIT CARD DEBT.”
Her announcement came on the same day that Donald Trump announced he would endorse Mitt Romney. We’re not sure if he knew about Roseanne’s intentions before he voiced his support for the GOP-frontrunner.
“I will run until the convention in July in Baltimore-I fully expect Jill Stein 2b the nominee& I will support her, but til then-I’ll serve,” she tweeted.
The most important news that came out of her POTUS tweets, however, was who Roseanne thinks will win the Super Bowl on Sunday:
“the giants 24 pats 21-why?” she tweeted. “the giants are tougher. younger qback-from good genetic stock. go giants.”
