Brace yourselves everyone, “Teen Mom” has been canceled. It’s out with the old and in with the new, for MTV’s original docudrama “Teen Mom.” Yes, unfortunately for fans of the show, the fourth and final season of “Teen Mom” will be airing sometime this Summer as confirmed by E! News.

After MTV released a statement it seems the original cast will be closing us out of their lives for good, how rude. “Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah,” MTV tells US Weekly. “They will continue to be a part of our MTV family, and we’re thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention.”

If you’re a fan of the show, don’t get too upset. MTV is throwing away the original cast, you can look forward to another season of “Teen Mom 2” and there are also plans for a “Teen Mom 3.”

Farrah, Amber and Catelynn have not publicly commented on their show’s end, but Maci did retweet a few fan comments from clairehorrill and JaremaJay:

“so sad to hear there will be no more teen mom from you. Thank you for sharing your life it has really inspired me.”

“it was amazing for you to show your life with your fans. Sad that it has to end but I appreciate it a lot. Thank you!”

So what’s next for the “Teen Mom” stars? It’s been rumored that Farrah Abraham will be getting a spin-off series that follows her life as a young mother and newly signed model. As for wild-mom Amber, let’s just hope that when she gets out of jail, she stays out for good this time. Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell seem like they are going to be playing it low-key from now on, they’ve probably had their fill of exposure.

Are you going to miss the original cast?
