The “it” pop group of the moment, The Wanted, has released their latest sure-to-be-a-hit song this past week along with their new EP.
The UK group released “Chasing The Sun” along with a lyric video of the song on VEVO, which is proving to be quite popular, with more than a million views since being posted earlier this week.
“I’m better, so much better now, I see the light, touch the light, we’re together now,” sings one member of the group. “I’m better, so much better now, look to the skies, give me life, we’re together now.”
The song comes from the group’s self-titled EP, “The Wanted,” which was released Tuesday in the United States and Canada. It features a great dance beat and catchy lyrics to match.
“We’ve only just begun, hypnotized by drums, until forever comes, you’ll find us chasing the sun,” sings one member of The Wanted. “They said this day would come, we refused to run, we’ve only just begun, you’ll find us chasing the sun.”
The new song comes as a new addition to the EP that contains content from both of the group’s two studio albums “The Wanted” released in 2010 and “Battleground” released in 2011. Another new song featured on the EP is “Satellite.”
The group has been on the rise in recent months, and their popularity skyrocketed with the release of “Glad You Came.” The Wanted consists of Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes.
The group’s music has even being featured on hit show “Glee.” On the show, Glee cast members are seen performing hit song “Glad You Came.”
“When the daylight’s fading, we’re gonna play in the dark, till it’s golden again,” the group sings in the new song “Chasing The Sun.” “And now it feels so amazing, can see you coming and we’ll never grow old again, you’ll find us chasing the sun.”
