If you thought the first two trailers for The Amazing Spider-Man were great, just wait until you watch the third. The most detailed of the bunch is sure to send fans into a frenzy and cause skeptics to second-guess their doubts about the upcoming re-boot.
Directed by Mark Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man isn’t short on big name actors. Besides Andrew Garfield (Never Let Me Go, The Social Network) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Emma Stone (Easy A, The Help) as his love interest, Gwen Stacy, this cast also includes the likes of Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field.
The trailer opens with an unmasked Peter Parker looking out at New York City from atop a tall building. His first words are “This life is not an easy one.” Right off the bat we finally get a glimpse of The Lizard, the villainous alter ego of Dr. Curt Connors and Spidey’s main villain. What follows is a crazy rollercoaster of events.
This trailer is by far the most informative and entertaining with more of the storyline revealed than every before. The first, released in earlier months, was more focused on the basic story of Peter Parker dealing with high school and becoming Spider-Man while the second trailer focused on the relationship between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy.
After an emotional introduction, we see a montage of crazy action and even some comedy as Spider-Man confronts a carjacker who tries to subdue the masked vigilante with a small knife. The trailer also delves deeper than the previous two into Peter Parker’s past.
With great acting, imagery and special effects, there is no doubt that this latest trailer will help to draw big crowds when the film is released July 3.
