A new extended trailer from “Snow White and the Huntsman” has been released.
Almost everyone is familiar with the Disney movie “Snow White,” but in “Snow White and the Huntsman,” director Rupert Sanders offers a darker interpretation where Snow White is no longer a damsel in distress who must be saved, but a women who fights for her own life.
The Internet Movie Data Base, IMDB describes the film as “In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.”
The star-studded cast includes “Twilight” actress Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen “Ravenna,” and Chris Hemsworth as “The Huntsman.”
The original trailer for the movie mostly depicts the Evil Queen sucking the life out of young girls so she can remain young and beautiful, but the new clip shows the seven dwarves and the real comradery the actors had while making the film.
Some of the actors who played the dwarves explain their roles in the movie:
“The dwarves first meet Snow White when the capture her and the Huntsman and it’s not a nice first meeting. They’re strung up, they’ve been robbed by [the dwarves.]”
“[The dwarves] are a band of desperate foot pads and thieves… who lost their moral compass because their whole kingdom was dessimated. They were the gold miners.”
They go on to explain that the Evil Queen took everything away from the dwarves when she ruined their land. As a result they became robbers in order to survive.
Take a look at the extended trailer to find out why the dwarves decide to join Snow White’s side.
