Cellini Feast Opens To Beautiful Weather

Opening a perfect lazy, hazy day of summer

You know the summer is winding down when you see the tents going up for the Annual New Hyde Park Cellini Feast, held in Tully Park, off Denton Avenue in New Hyde Park.

The feast opened last week on Wednesday, Aug. 22 and continued until Sunday, Aug. 26 and it was great.

The setup this year was a little different, but it worked very well. All the tables were gathered in the center of the area and the vendors and the rides were encircled around them and there seemed to be much more room for all the participants to buy their food then sit and eat at their leisure.

There were a few new rides this year, along with the same old scary ones and, of course, always the big attraction was the gigantic slide that all kids seem to love.

The food, as usual, was beyond delicious and they are right, they do have the best zeppoles on Long Island.

Driving their own cars is always a fun ride.

This Roslyn family also had a delightful dinner at the feast and they topped it off with an ice cream dessert.
