Roller Rink Offers Free Admission Labor Day

Just bring two cans of food

United Skates Roller Skating Rink in Seaford hosts thousands of birthday parties, special events and private events throughout the year, but the event they have planned for Sept. 2 and 3 is one that is truly special.  United Skates will be offering free admission to their Labor Day Skates on Sept. 2  from 12 to 2:30 p.m. and from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and also on Monday Sept. 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. to anyone who donates a minimum of two cans of food.

One in six Americans in this country struggle with hunger today.  Food banks are being hit extremely hard with fewer people being able to donate due to economic struggles.  United Skates Roller Skating Rink is excited to be participating in Hunger Action Month this upcoming September, hoping to encourage hundreds of people to donate cans of food that will be then donated to the Island Harvest.

Normal admission to the session is $10 for children, and $11 for adults.  Anyone who comes down any of those sessions with two canned goods will be admitted free of charge.

United Skates of America is located at 1276 Hicksville Road, Seaford.  For more information, or for a photograph of the center, please contact Lauren Fink, event coordinator at 795-5474.
