At Center Street School in Herricks, fourth-grade students created an exciting project. The Gemini program at Herricks supports talented and gifted students with challenging curriculum.
These students established the United Bank of Gemini Students. They were assigned a department of the bank to work in as part of a team.
Teacher Deirdre Kenny created the project which nurtures and challenges their skills. Their mission was to design a manual for the services that their department of the bank provides.
These manuals were used as a teaching tool for new “workers” in the department and also helped the bank customers, family members and understand what each department does.
