McDonald’s Robbers Climb Into Drive-Thru Window

A pair of masked gunmen climbed through a McDonald’s drive-thru window in Massapequa during a brazen armed robbery early Thursday morning, Nassau County police said.

The suspects placed an order before pulling up to the window at the fast-food restaurant on Sunrise Highway, but when the 20-year-old woman opened the window, instead of handing them their food, the two suspects climbed through and forced the victim and her coworker on the floor shortly before 4 a.m., police said.

The robbers, who were wearing hooded sweatshirts and bandanas covering their faces, stole cash from the registers and an office safe before they fled the scene through the same window and drove off in an unknown direction.

The victims were not injured.

Seventh Squad detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
