Nassau County police have identified the murder victim found dead at Mill Pond Park Preserve in Wantagh as a 27-year-old Roosevelt man.

Marvin Antonio Fuentes Serrano suffered “numerous stab wounds” before he died, police said Tuesday.

Officers had responded to the park Sunday afternoon after a passerby found the victim’s body “slumped over a log,” police have said.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
