Suffolk County police have released a sketch of a suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a woman in the Shirley/Mastic area last month and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

Seventh Squad detectives said that the assailant sexually assaulted the victim in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 14. Police did not release any further details about the case Tuesday.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man with a muscular build and in his late 20s.  He was wearing a white t-shirt and long white shorts that had a square pattern design.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
