Super Warriors is a program designed to bring smiles to children on Long Island who are battling medical conditions and illnesses, and to their siblings. We do this by creating “Warrior Gifts,” or baskets filled with toys for these children, in the hope that the special gift will brighten their day, show them that they are never alone on their medical journey, and that their community cares about them.
This year, fourth grade students in Mrs. Rachel Brody’s and Mrs. Condela’s classes sponsored two children and collected gifts for them for the holidays. The family came to visit Stokes Elementary School and the students presented them with their presents. They were excited to meet the kids and spread some holiday cheer.
