Once again the children of the John Lewis Childs School have risen to the occasion of supporting the Nassau County Fire Fighters Operation Wounded Warrior (NCFF-OWW). They received a special citation from the men at Fort Bragg and it is being displayed in the front entrance of the school.
The citation from Commanding Officer LTC, LG Judson P. Nelson, Jr. to the faculty and students of John Lewis Childs reads, “Thank you for your selfless service to the Soldiers and Families of the Fort Bragg, Warrior Transition Battalion. Your contributions to the Battalion on 5 December 2013 were immense and meant a great deal to all who attended. Your support is a true testament to your commitment, compassion, and dedication to giving back to those who serve. Your service reflects great credit upon your organization and is a superb example for all others to follow.”
