The Island Trees Tri-M Music Honor Society, under the advisorship of music teacher Mr. Greg Warnokowski, inducted 22 new student members, on Jan. 14.
Tri-M, which stands for Modern Music Masters, is a program of the National Association for Music Education that recognizes students for their high academic and music achievements.
The ceremony, led by Mr. Warnokowski and the Tri-M Executive Board, also included performances by members of Tri-M including Emily Meyer, Janice Hur, Gabriella Trezza, James Muscarello, and “The Saxletes,” an ensemble that features all saxophone players.
The Chamber Orchestra performed the processional, and new inductees Colleen Lamberti, Jennifer Maniscalco, and Alyssa Paciullo, performed the National Anthem.
