Lady Dalers Strike Their Way to Counties

Congratulations to the Lady Dalers varsity bowling team on finishing second in the conference and fourth in Nassau County in the team championship on Feb. 1 at Garden City Bowl. Four of the girls will continue on to the individual championship to be held Feb. 8, at Garden City Bowl. In order to qualify for the individuals, a girl must have an average of 160 or better.  The girls will bowl six games and the top five girls in Nassau County, along with an alternate, will move on to the state Championship, which will be held at Babylon Bowl on March 1-2, 2014.

Under the leadership of Coach Neu, this young varsity team—comprised of freshman and sophomores—had the honor of qualifying this year. Farmingdale varsity bowlers include sophomore Deanna Rosenberg, who currently leads the team with a 193 average, freshman Christie Warmingham bowling a 176 average, sophomore Amanda Heme, with a 174 average, and sophomore Sam Calisto, with a 168 average. Good luck to all the girls on this great achievement.
