The Floral Park Library Board will hold their public meeting on March 12 at the library at 7:30 p.m.

The Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Floral Park will be held on March 12 in the Village Court Room at 8 p.m.

The Bellerose Floral Park Chapter of the Homemakers of Nassau County will meet on Wednesday, March 12 at noon at Christ Lutheran Church, Spooner St. and Plainfield Ave. in Floral Park. Call 516-488-3182 for information.


Thursday, March 13

The Floral Park-Bellerose School District Board of Education meeting will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 8 p.m at John Lewis Childs School on Elizabeth St.


Friday, March 14

The National Senior Honor Society and Interact clubs at Floral Park Memorial High School are hosting a Prom Dress Drive to support the nonprofit Women of Integrity. The clubs are collecting prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, dress shoes, and evening handbags. All dresses must be cleaned and in good condition. Bring donated items to the high school’s library, 210 Locust Ave., through Friday, March 14.

The Town of Hempstead will hold its e-cycling collection for recylcing electronic devices on Saturday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the town parking field L-2, on Division Ave. in Levittown. For information call 516-378-2200.

Annual Basketball 3-On-3 Tournament

Our Lady of Victory will hold its 3rd Annual Tom Hayden 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on March 15 at 9 a.m. in the school’s gym. This year’s honorees are George Rettinger, former OLV CYO president and coach; and Joe Power, in memoriam, basketball coach. Fee is $200 per team. Email ccoyne473@gmail.com for information.

St. Paddy’s Day Lunch

Floral Park’s AARP Chapter 5224 will celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with a corned beef and rye sandwich luncheon at the Floral Park Recreation Center on March 17 at 1 p.m. Ham and Swiss sandwiches will also be available. Floral Park Village Election Day is March 18 from noon to 9 p.m. at the Recreation Center.

Bellerose Village will hold its elections on Tuesday, March 18 at 50 Superior Rd.


Wednesday, March 19

The Floral Park Village Board of Trustees will hold the public meeting on March 19 at 8 p.m. in the Village Court Room.

The Bellerose Jewish Center will be holding its Winter Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 Browse through new and almost new clothing, bric-a-brac, household items, toys, etc. You never know what treasures you may find. For information contact the Bellerose Jewish Center Office at 718-343-9001. Bellerose JC is located at 254-14 Union Turnpike, in Floral Park.

St. Hedwig’s Church, on Depan Ave. at Jericho Tpke., will host a dramatic presentation of the Stations of the Cross, performed by Creative Ministries on Wednesday, March 19 at 8 p.m.


Thursday, March 20

The North End Civic Association Meeting will be held on March 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Reliance Fire House.

AHRC Nassau Floral Park Auxiliary will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Floral Park Recreation Center. All are welcoem to attend.

Bellerose Village Junior Women’s Club will hold its Scholarship Spring Fundraiser on March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at village hall, 50 Superior Rd.


Sunday, March 23

Town of Hempstead will hold its hazardous household waste collection on March 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Eisenhower Park, Parking Field 3 in East Meadow. For information and collection rules call 516-378-2200.

The Floral Park Memorial High School Music Department will present Seussical, The Musical! at the school’s Hayden Auditorium on Thursday, March 27 at 4 p.m., on Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the school’s music department for $10 (cash or check made to: Floral Park Memorial Music Dept).
