Long Islanders will get to enjoy a pleasant—but breezy—day Saturday before temperatures dip back into the 30s on Sunday in preparation for more snowflakes.
Saturday’s forecast calls for a high near 54 with gusts as high as 33 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Upton.
The temperature will drop under freezing during the evening and will warm up slightly during the day Sunday.
Snow is expected to begin falling Sunday night and continue through most of the day Monday, forecasters said. One to two inches of snow is possible, the weather service said.
The white stuff will clear out by Tuesday.
