On Tuesday, May 20, when residents of the Roslyn School District vote on next year’s school budget and elect trustees to the Board of Education, they will also decide on a $41.3 million bond referendum that envisions renovations, infrastructure upgrades and new construction throughout the school district.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Dan Brenner, Assistant Superintendent for Business Joseph Dragone, and members of the Board of Education will be giving a series of informational presentations in order to provide residents with an opportunity to learn about the bond proposal as well as the budget for 2014-15.
The presentations will address these questions:
• Why have a bond referendum?
• What work is being proposed?
• How much will the bond cost taxpayers?
• What will be the impact of the 2014-15 school budget?
All of the meetings listed below are open to all residents. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions about the bond and the school budget. Residents are advised to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the district’s plans and how they will affect the children in our public schools for years to come.
