Valley Stream Man Killed by DWI Suspect, Cops Say

A 60-year-old Valley Stream man was killed when an alleged drunken driver crashed his car into a vehicle the victim was driving in Brooklyn, New York City police said.

Fabian Brooks, 25, of Brooklyn, was driving an Infiniti G-37 southbound on Remsen Avenue in Canarsie when he hit a northbound Toyota Camry that was making a left turn onto Glenwood Road shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The Toyota, driven by Nikon Vouyiouklis, then struck three parked cars. The Infiniti hit a utility pole.

Both drivers were taken to Brookdale Hospital, where Vouyiouklis was pronounced dead and Brooks was listed in stable condition.

Brooks was charged with Manslaughter, Vehicular Manslaughter, Criminally Negligent Homicide, Reckless Endangerment, driving while intoxicated, Reckless Driving and driving while ability impaired.
